Well Being Day

Friday 7th April 2017

Today was Well Being Day at Uplands Primary.

 

The days activities such were:

 

  • A work out session for each class run by Mrs Beale to promote healthy exercise.

  • Y1/2 making rainbow fruit kebabs to promote healthy eating.

  • Teaching pupils some strategies to help them when they are feeling stressed, anxious or angry.

  • Ensuring that pupils know where to go for support/help if needed.

  • Y5/6 pupils will learn about the 7 steps of mindfulness and the importance of good sleep habits.

  • Adapting recipes to make healthy fruit juices (Y5/6)

  • Y3/4 pupils will be learning about relaxing through music and about showing kindness to other pupils.
